Betty Jo Powers (Beavers) Feb. 23, 1942 Aug. 24, 2005 Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., on Monday, August 29, at 11:00 a. m. for Betty Jo (Beavers) Powers. Betty was called home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2005. Betty was a special person who touched many lives. She was loved by all that knew her and will be missed. Betty was born in Bakersfield, on February 23, 1942. She grew up in Arvin and attended Arvin Schools. She enjoyed music, dancing, and being with her family. Betty is preceded in death by her father, Lou Beavers. She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Robert, Michael and Raymond; daughter, Kimberley and son-in-law, Eric Slagel; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; mother, Delois; brothers, Wayne and Eric and sister, Mary. No visitation is scheduled.
