I retired from the US Bureau of Reclamation in 1997 as a Supervisory Civil Engineer, PE, Nevada, having worked on Dams and water projects in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, California, Oregon, Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada and Montana.
Marianne and I retired to the Ozarks, Marion County Arkansas, just below Bull Shoals Lake and pioneered on some great acres. We have started building and expect that to take a few years to complete. Marianne and I just celebrated out 24th anniversary.
I consulted for private construction a few years, Nevada and Hawaii, and finally signed on with FEMA. Last year with FEMA I served in Kentucky, South Dakota, Florida and Alabama. So far this year I have been in North Dakota and just finished two months in SW Utah. I expect to get orders tomorrow for the Gulf Coast and expect to be deployed until May.
I will miss the quite and solitude, the ducks, ponds, deer, dogs and of course my best friend, Marianne.
I finally completed the novel, ON THE ORIGINS OF GOD - BY MEANS OF NATURAL SELECTION. It is the completed version of THE SECRET OF THE GODS. I need to find a Literary Agent who is sober and does not fear the impact of a lightening bolt for representing the book.
