I met my husband, Lynn Shurtleff, at Brigham Young University where both of us graduated in 1964. He with his Masters and then went on for PhD and me with my Bachelors. We were married in 1963 and have had a most wonderful life. He taught at the University and was the Dept. Chairman in Music at Santa Clara University, a private Catholic University, in Northern California for 35 years. He is a very talented musician, a composer, choral / orchestra conductor and has been invited to conduct famous orchestras all over the world. Life has been very good to us. I also have been very active in musical things along with him.
We are now retired and have been living in Bogotá, Colombia for the past 2 years. Before that we lived in Quito, Ecuador for 3 years. We have been down here for our Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...commonly know as the Mormons. My husband has been the President for the missionaries in this South America North Area. We have loved our time in SA and love the Latin people.
If I can't attend the reunion please tell my classmates Hello and that I have cherished memories of many of them and absolutely loved my time with them in Arvin. Those were wonderful years!
